Atwest offers accessible transport for organised clubs and groups in West Somerset
We have several minibuses available, with up to 16 seats and are fully accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties, and all of the drivers receive and pass County-approved driving and wheelchair training and DBS checks. This service we offer is for citizens in our community who are elderly, disabled or face isolation as being unable to use conventional public transport. Certain criteria must be met and checks for eligibility will be discussed before a booking is taken. There is a charge, based on the times the driver is working and the miles covered.
On making an enquiry about a trip, all the details will be taken (times, pick-up points, destination and so on) and the price worked out. On accepting the price a firm booking will be made for that trip and invoice sent out along with a questionnaire for your group leader to complete to ensure the criteria is met.
We ask that Atwest receives the money before the day of the trip, but to make life easier the club members can appoint someone to collect the money on their behalf and bring it in, rather than each member having to pay Atwest! The club will also need to confirm who is travelling and whether any are wheelchair users or have mobility aids.
